Upcoming Events at Refurbs Buckley
Winter Warmer: Every Monday from January 22nd we will be holding our Winter Warmer Sessions between 12 pm and 2 pm. These sessions are aimed at individuals in the local community over 55 who are feeling lonely and isolated they offer the chance to socialise, meet new people and enjoy some warm refreshments thanks to funding from the Co Op Community Fund.
Adult Community Learning Sessions: Thanks to our partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning various skill promoting sessions will take place on Tuesday including IT sessions for all levels, Wellbeing, gardening, budgeting and more.
Clothing Drops & Swaps: Join us in embracing sustainable fashion by participating in our upcoming clothing swaps on Wednesdays. Bring gently used clothing items you no longer need and exchange them for something new-to-you. This event promotes a circular economy and encourages community members to reduce their environmental impact through mindful consumption. Thanks to funding from Awards 4 All from th National Lottery.
Repair Workshops: We’re bringing an additional day of Repair Workshops to Refurbs Buckley to promote the benefits of reducing, reusing and recycling. Bring your items in and we can try to mend small electrical and mechanical items, bikes, toys or clothing. These sessions aim to promote a culture of sustainability by extending the lifespan of everyday items.
Energy Advice: Attendees will have the opportunity to learn practical tips for energy efficiency measures, discover renewable energy options, and explore ways to reduce their carbon footprint with guidance from a trained energy advisor. These sessions will help our community make informed choices about energy consumption.
