Nigel is the chair of trustees for Groundwork North Wales and has a long history in public services.
I’m a Chartered Management Accountant, with a long history in public service and environmental management, including 15 years as Finance Director of the Environment Agency , and before that I worked for the National Rivers Authority.
I enjoy a “showbiz” career as a singer at care homes and community centres mainly in Somerset where I live, but once a month I am also as part of the Lunch & Company entertainment team at Alyn Waters.
I learned of Groundwork North Wales’s wonderful work through Karen Balmer when we were both serving on the Natural Resources Wales board. Now as Chair of the Groundwork North Wales Group it is the best job I’ve ever had. It has brought an enlightening social dimension to my passion for the environment, and I count myself blessed to be part of an organisation whose leadership and staff demonstrate such energy and care for the people and environment in the communities we serve.
