Flintshire Wood shed
Mental health awareness has become a topic of conversation over the past few years. But unfortunately, men’s mental health is still seen as a stigma, with many men not able reach out and ask for help.
Flintshire Wood Shed aims to combat this and give support to the individual volunteers who attend where needed. Motivating our volunteers and providing emotional and mental well-being, is kept at the heart of our activities.
Flintshire Wood Shed provides a welcoming friendly environment, giving unemployed or retired individuals an opportunity to come together, learn new skills and practice old ones in a relaxed, welcoming, and friendly environment.
Activities include repairing furniture, creating small wooden craft pieces such as planters and bird boxes for resale and joining in various ‘expert’ workshops.
Sessions are held on a Tuesday at Refurbs Flint, 1-3 Aber Park Industrial Estate, Flint, CH6 5EX
