The Our Back Yard project is holding free family events in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire over the Summer holidays and wants the local community to join in.


The events are open to all and will take place at different green spaces around the town with fun-filled events such as crafts, fun trails and family walks all on offer.

 The free events all take part in Connah’s Quay and are as follows;

Clay Play and Creature Creation

Tuesday 23rd July, 1pm-3pm, Central Park, meet by the Cricket Club.

Woodland Bling Craft Session

Thursday 1st August, 1pm – 3pm, meet by playground off Hillsdown Drive.

Fun Tree Trail and Crafts

Friday 16th August, 1pm – 3pm, Central Park, meet by the Cricket Club.

Fun Dog Show

Thursday 22nd August, 1.30pm -3.30pm, Central Park, meet by the Cricket Club.

Family Walk

Thursday 29th August, 10am – 1.30pm, Meet at Wepre Park Visitors Centre.

Amy Jones, Project Officer from Groundwork North Wales and the Our Back Project noted, “Our events during the half term and Easter holidays were well attended and we really enjoyed meeting people from the local community. We hope to see even more people for the summer events where we will be offering exciting new programme of activities for all the family to enjoy”.
