The Green Skills team help communities to develop their green skills and job prospects. We enable people to retrain, gain confidence and obtain valuable work experience, giving people the opportunity to move on a journey towards employment.
These programmes are linked to improving the local environment or developing new skills for a greener economy. We work with our partners to develop programmes that will deliver social, economic and environmental benefits that in turn create more confident and resilient communities.
The Green Skills team:
• Work with employers across North Wales to
place local unemployed people into 'green' placements to gain work
experience and develop their skills.
• Work with our partners across North Wales
(private, public and voluntary) to offer unemployed people the
opportunity to engage in community based environmental activities
that develop their practical skills as well as contributing to the
regeneration of their community.
• Run work clubs across North Wales that provide
unemployed people with a place to meet and exchange ideas, share
experiences, find opportunities, make contacts and get support to
help them in their return to work.
