We support neighbourhoods and communities particularly those viewed as disadvantaged, working closely with partner organisations to improve the lives of local people.
Our projects help to build
pride in an area, making them cleaner, greener and safer.
We help people improve the appearance of their school grounds,
parks, gardens, housing and industrial estates.
We work with community groups, housing associations, and local
authorities to improve all sorts of green spaces for people to use
for exercise, to sit in, for kids to play in and for people of all
ages to enjoy being outdoors.
In 2011/12 we acheived

5,748 days of volunteering by young people
11,566 days of volunteering by adults
498 qualifications gained
487 training weeks provided

728 Tonnes of waste diverted from landfill

20 community organisations supported
64 routes of progression (including volunteering, education and
employment)
